The stories in Queens of Hearts reveal parts of the life long journey of Viram. From being a soccer player and athlete, he moves into the world of professional dance at age twenty seven. In three weeks time he is prepared for an audition at a prestigious ballet academy. In a very unusual way and by a very unusual woman who teaches him the essentials of classical ballet at a graveyard, near a river and on a carpet in her living room. After several years his dance goes on in New York City, but his journey is far from over. From the Big Apple he travels to India were he lives in a commune. Before his dance continues at this place, he starts with cleaning toilets and working in the kitchen. He is also stimulated by two lovers to experience dance and meditation in very different ways and ends up at a birthday party were he dances with an enlightened woman. After India the journey continues and he arrives at a sacred mountain near Kyoto. At this mountain, all the images seen as a child, amazingly manifest themselves, thirty-nine years later.
Each stage of his life is part of a process of discovering that something is happening by itself. Something from within that takes him deeper into the quest for the eternal.
